To ensure both optimal performance and safety, Fosbel employs a comprehensive prevention plan that considers all aspects of the work environment to minimize incident and Experience Modication Rating (EMR). We accomplish this with a three-point approach to safety instruction and maintenance that covers:

• An intense and comprehensive orientation program that includes:

  • A 5-day initial indoctrination

  • An operational mentoring system

  • Written, oral and practical exams to demonstrate competence

• Daily application of our Leading Indicator Behavioral Based Safety (LIBBS) program, which covers a combination of safety training, toolbox talks, regular meetings, information sharing, job analysis of safety and risk, and onsite assessments​

• Maintenance of focus with structured training, review, and feedback sessions
